Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for construction project employees, including hourly and salaried staff.
  • Collect and review timesheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws and project requirements.
  • Enter payrollrelated data into the system, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify discrepancies in payroll data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in administering employee benefits related to payroll, such as health insurance and retirement contributions.
  • Maintain accurate and organized payroll records, including employee information, tax forms, and other relevant documents.
  • Respond to payrollrelated inquiries from employees and management, providing clear and concise information.
  • Stay updated on relevant labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance with payroll processes.
  • Collaborate with the HR and finance teams to resolve payrollrelated issues and improve processes.
  • Generate payroll reports as needed for management and accounting purposes.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in payroll is a plus.
  • 10 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive payroll information.
  • Problemsolving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with a positive and cooperative attitude.
