Responsibilities:

Understand Softlanding's core business and value we bring to the North American market.
Monitor key bid portals and pre-screen opportunities that align with our core business and values.
Collaborate with Sales, Professional Services, PMO, and Managed Services leadership on go/no go checklists. Quality over quantity.
Establish a bid response timeline, schedule kick-off, and assign responsibilities.
Build relationships with account executives to understand the business needs of prospects and clients.
Maintain a proposal repository to ensure consistency and efficiency in responses.
Undertake a review of SME-created content for coherence, style, and quality.
Lead the proposal team to manage all aspects of the proposal process from beginning to end.
Develop processes and procedures for continual improvement of the Proposal and Business Development process.

Actively report RFP progress, wins and losses to the appropriate internal teams, determining reasons for bid outcomes and making effective changes where necessary.

In addition to technical writing for RFP's, assisting with technical writing for blogs, consulting delivery templates, marketing assets, and more.

You would represent Softlanding in the market and must reflect the core values of the company which include:

At least two years of experience technical writing.
Experience as a bid manager (ideally for a professional services/managed services organization).
Successful track record in developing winning bid strategies.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work on tight deadlines.
High level understanding of how Microsoft unleashes the potential of businesses.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Sufficient technical acumen to be able to read an RFP and understand the client's overall intentions.
Strong interest in technology and its impact on clients.
Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize those projects to meet desired deadlines.
Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
Ability to adapt documents quickly and effectively to meet clients' and producers' needs.
Have excellent attention to detail and ideally a good eye for design and layout.
Have advanced Microsoft collaboration skills including productivity (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

A few nice-to-haves for the role include:
Experience with RFP bid management tools
Microsoft technology certifications
Sales experience
Ability to solve world peace (just would be super cool)
