This is a highly visible role, requiring someone with strong finance and accounting expertise, modelling and analytics, leadership, business acumen, and executive presence.

This role requires an experienced manager who has a strong track record of leading company initiatives and leading people (primarily business partners).


What you will be doing

  • Deliver the FP&A team's mandate and priorities with excellence. Be a strategic and trusted analytical resource to the FP&A team, Investment Accounting teams, and other senior leaders.
  • Lead and manage the client annual rebalancing model for our real estate investment programs ensuring inputs from Tax, Legal, BCI, and other teams are appropriately translated into accurate journal entries and cash flow actions.
  • Develop relationships and actively collaborate with BCI in regards to their accounting and finance needs related to the investment programs we manage on their behalf.
  • Develop and improve finance and accounting related reporting to BCI, while managing BCI requirements and key relationships.
  • Develop and analyze complex multidimensional financial models supporting financial and accounting initiatives, strategic plans, annual budgets, forecasts, and business initiatives analysis such tools and reporting capabilities will support senior leadership to assess financial and operational performance.
  • Identify, guide, and drive innovation, coordinate change management, and lead successful execution of projects that are transformative to the business, enable organizational growth, and generate process efficiencies.

Professional experiences & qualifications

  • Experienced manager with minimum 710 years of related experience (at least 3+ years in manager role). Progressive experience in Accounting/Controllership, FP&A, Corporate Finance supporting Csuite, and Business Unit/Operational Finance with direct business partner roles.
  • University degree with major in business, finance, mathematics, accounting, or economics.
  • Holding a CPA or other relevant professional designation is considered an asset.
  • You have functioned in a "best in class" accounting, modelling, and reporting capacity. You have operated in a capacity that involves translating tax related requirements and legal entity structuring impacts into accounting impacts. You have demonstrated a strong ability to conceptualize and model out complex financial transactions as well as translate results into effective reporting to stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles (IFRS), and operational finance.
  • Indepth expertise with "what if" scenario mapping and indepth financial analysis. You have exceptional financial modeling skills, and always able to draw out meaningful conclusions and actions (e.g. journal entries, cash movements).
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills extensive experience with effectively and confidently communicating with and presenting to internal and external stakeholders as well as management.
  • Occasional travel is a possibility to the other QuadReal offices.
