Workplace Options is seeking an On-Site EAP Counselor in Waterloo Canada.

This role will provide direct services on a wide scale including psychosocial assessments, clinical case management, and short-term counseling; collecting sufficient data to make appropriate referrals while working onsite at one of our client organizations.


Shift:

Thursday through Monday 11pm-7:30am

Responsibilities:

  • Provides an integrated EAP service consisting of intake and assessment, support, triage, referral, clinical case management and crisis management.
  • Delivers counseling services in a responsive, efficient, ethical, and professional manner. Maintaining client confidentiality as expected by ethical standards.
  • Refers clients to appropriate resources and thoroughly maintains clinical documentation in computerized system for followup regarding clinical and worklife services.
  • Assessments completed with clients expressing various issues e.g., substance abuse, mental health, and family concerns that may be impacting work performance.
  • Performs initial assessment/intake, crisis intervention, information and referral, and counseling services to clients.
  • Conducts critical incident support and provides support to managers as needed.
  • Facilitates training and group sessions on various topics.
  • Undertakes additional tasks as identified by the clinical management team.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or diploma in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
  • At least three years postgraduate experience directly providing counseling or mental health services.
  • Licensure or clinical certification required.
  • Training and/or group facilitator experience preferred.
  • Trauma experience preferred
- full-time/ 40 hours a week position

  • Salary: $66,000 CAD per year
