Workplace Options LLC is seeking a skilled EAP Counselor to join our team and deliver vital mental health support onsite. As a key member of our EAP team, you will provide direct services onsite in accordance with the company's needs, serving as an integral part of our Employee Assistance Program.
Responsibilities:- Provide an integrated EAP service consisting of intake and assessment, support, triage, referral, clinical case management, and crisis management.
- Deliver counselling services in a responsive, efficient, ethical, and professional manner, maintaining client confidentiality as expected by ethical standards.
- Adhere to applicable ethical, therapeutic, and legal standards governing service delivery, as well as policies, procedures, and laws that apply to the organization.
- Refer clients to appropriate resources and thoroughly maintain clinical documentation in a computerized system for follow-up regarding clinical and work-life services.
- Complete assessments with clients expressing various issues, e.g., substance abuse, mental health, and family concerns that may be impacting work performance.
- Perform initial assessment/intake, crisis intervention, information and referral, and counselling services to clients, completing timely follow-up calls where necessary.
- Undertake additional tasks as identified by the clinical management team.
- Facilitate trainings, conduct, and participate in orientation, and develop and implement strategic activities for the organization.
- Master's degree or diploma in social work, psychology, counselling, or related field.
- At least two years directly related experience providing counselling or mental health services.
- Licensure or clinical certification required.
- Trauma experience is valued.
