As the Business Development Intern, you will provide support to RBC Insurances through our Field Sales and Head Office. In this role, you will apply knowledge, skills, and practices to perform assignments.

⢠Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
⢠If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully.

Job Description

What will you do?

The roles and responsibilities will vary depending on business needs but could include:

  • Performing research and providing answers for customer generated inquiries.
  • Contributing to defined projects or tasks under direct supervision.
  • Documenting processes or upgrading existing procedure manuals.
  • Developing product or service knowledge and competence in tools and business processes used in the department.
  • Completing Head Office initiatives in collaboration with Operations

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Strong personal skills and the ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft suite
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Good analytical, communication and problem solving skills
  • Highly organized with good attention to detail and very high level of accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to think critically and âoutside the boxâ

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge and an understanding of Insurance solutions
  • Previous experience using online research tools
  • Previous experience working with an insurance or financial institution
