Responsibilities
In this Accountant role in Etobicoke, you will be responsible for the following:
- Maintain accurate financial records for manufacturing operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making within the manufacturing department.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes for manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cost control and process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and support to auditors.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations relevant to the manufacturing industry.
Qualifications
We are looking for the following for this Accountant role located in Etobicoke:
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience across all aspects of the function
- A bachelorâs degree in either business administration or accounting.
- Experience working with MS Dynamics including Great Plains or D365 is a great asset.
- Experience working in a similar industry is an asset.
