Our client, a leading North American healthcare provider, is currently seeking the welcome they're new Financial reporting Director. With a network spanning across dozens of clinics offering a full suite of healthcare services in their respective niche.

Your responsibilities

  • You are in charge of preparing the quarterly financial package for the board, which includes all the analysis and commentary of the results, as well as the quarterly reporting to our financial institution.
  • You are tasked with managing a team of CPAs, which includes three managers and analysts.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that all processes and procedures are documented, up-to-date, and that the appropriate controls are in place for all financial processes under your purview.
  • You oversee the financial reporting process, which includes all periodic reporting for all the entities of the groups, the combination and consolidation process, and year-end review and audit processes under ASPE rules.
  • You are responsible for preparing financial analysis on key costs in collaboration with other teams.
  • You proactively identify the need to report on certain aspects of the business that require improvement and organize discussions with the appropriate stakeholders to address these.
  • You oversee the reporting by business segment and provide insight on the results.
  • You continuously strive to optimize and automate the month-end process to ensure the team focuses on value-added activities.
  • You monitor and report the performance of acquisitions and investments.

Competencies required

  • You possess a CPA auditor title, with a background of at least three years in auditing and a minimum of 4 years of experience in the private sector.
  • You are proficient in French and English
  • You have a deep understanding of ASPE rules and regulations
  • You have a strong ability to work effectively and independently in a multi-business entrepreneurial setting, and can manage multiple tasks at once.
  • You have substantial experience with ERP systems like Navision and SAP, as well as consolidation tools such as BI Solver.
  • You possess strong leadership abilities, and are capable of motivating your team and fostering strategic business relationships.
