**Job Description** The opportunity**:
As Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (or FP&A Director), you will be responsible for setting up and leading the FP&A team. You will oversee quarterly forecasts, the annual budget process, operating plans and variance analysis. In addition, you will have a key role in the preparation of board presentations, financial reports, capital expenditure analysis and other special projects. As an analytical thought leader, you'll provide insights that drive culture change and better metrics-based decision-making.
**Tasks and responsibilities**:
- Strategic business partner to Executive leaders with in-depth analyses developed in partnership with cross functional leaders;
- Work with business owners across the organization to develop the budget and financial forecasts throughout the year;
- Monitor cash position and forecast using detailed assumptions, complete financing covenant reporting, liaise with lender and participate in negotiations;
- Drive business and financial insights by analyzing current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures, leveraging analyses and inputs from both internal and external sources;
- Increase financial discipline and visibility through regular financial reviews by highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances;
- Prepare presentations to Board of Directors, C-Suite and Leadership Team;
- Define short to long-term financial strategy and key pillars, including risk-adjusted scenario development;
- Provide direction on all financial matters related to strategic cross functional projects and key investments, identify and track key performance indicators and benefits realized;
- Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI in all critical programs, pricing models, new investment rollouts as well as future projects and provide recommendations to management for decision making purposes;
- Review and support diverse strategic and growth business initiatives across the Company and participate in special projects;
- Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools;
- Partner with all areas of Finance to improve current reporting and performance practices;
- Help implement new spending policies and optimize current policies in order to control expenses.
**Qualifications**
- MBA or CPA designation with 8-10 years of experience in a similar role;
- Experience leading a team and developing future business influencers;
- Demonstrated capacity for problem solving as well as analytical skills;
- An influential communicator who is able work effectively in cross-company teams and negotiate priorities;
- Capable of manipulating all features of Excel;
- Experience assessing complex business issues and evaluating financial performance, including development of budgets and projections;
- Grasps working in an ERP environment;
- A strong communicator able to influence at all levels of the organization.
