About This Role

The Director of Financial Operations at CAE will oversee the financial performance of the Business Aviation Training (BAT), Helicopter Aviation Training (HAT), and Maintenance Training (Mx) segments. This role will be responsible for forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting of financial performance to corporate finance management and the business management team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial understanding of the business, providing immediate and accurate financial performance assessments for each business unit. They will also support the Business Leaders in achieving the Business Unit objectives and business plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Develop and implement financial planning and analysis processes to support business decision-making.
    • Provide financial performance assessments and forecasts to corporate finance management and the business management team.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare and present financial reports to corporate finance management and the business management team.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to meet corporate requirements.
  • Financial Operations Management
    • Oversee the financial operations of the BAT, HAT, and Mx segments.
    • Manage the financial planning and analysis team to ensure effective financial operations.
  • Business Partnership
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to ensure effective financial support.
    • Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement financial plans and strategies.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in finance or accounting.
  • Experience
    • 15-20 years of relevant experience in financial leadership roles.
    • Strong financial planning and analysis skills.
    • Experience in multinational companies and dynamic business environments.
