Joining Avenue as our Marketing Lead (Part-time Contract) you will be responsible for overseeing all of our external marketing efforts. Currently, Avenue has an established marketing strategy across a range of channels managed by our client marketing team (whose core role is running marketing services for our clients). The Marketing Lead will take over ownership of our external marketing with the goal of expanding our efforts and improving performance.

You’ll excel in this role if you have a broad range of experience in marketing (e.g. a generalist) with exposure to SaaS tech companies. You’ll bring an analytical approach to increasing our growth; valuing taking time to assess, test and optimize channels and campaigns. You'll thrive if you enjoy bringing your own solutions to complex and uncertain problems and have an entrepreneurial streak that biases you towards building and creating versus making do with what exists.

Avenue today is a healthy, profitable technology company of 22 team members working distributedly across Canada. We serve ~1,200 real estate agents across Canada and US. Our offering is a powerful tool to our clients in both growing their business and efficiently managing their day-to-day in their busy, unpredictable world. Successfully positioning our marketing to tap into these pain points results in loyal, long-term clients.

Initially, this role is a 6-month, part-time (20 hours per week) contract but has the potential to expand into full-time for the right candidate.

What You'll Do
  • Own and oversee Avenue’s marketing efforts across a range of channels including online advertising, email marketing, industry events, referrals, affiliates and social media
  • Identify, validate and optimize new and existing channels, funnel processes and content to increase leads, improve conversion and grow revenue.
  • Work with data and dig into numbers; have a deep understanding of marketing/ growth KPIs, metrics, and reporting with the ability to translate into concrete insights
  • Partner with Product to develop marketing strategies to promote future product launches and increase adoption of our current product
  • Work closely with teams across Avenue to ensure a consistent brand voice
About You
  • You have 3-5+ years of digital marketing experience, preferably with a B2B SaaS company.
  • You are adept at managing Facebook and Instagram ads, Google campaigns, email marketing, organic social media, and with a track record of running successful campaigns (i.e. measurable ROI).
  • You are comfortable creating marketing-based metrics, reports and dashboards.
  • You have excellent attention to detail (spelling, grammar, formatting, and data analysis).
  • You have experience writing copy and are able to adapt your writing style to a brand voice
  • You are comfortable working both independently and with a dynamic mix of individuals and teams depending on the goal.
  • You thrive in an environment where you need to roll up your sleeves and dive into problems even when lacking ideal information and data.
Bonus Points
  • Experience in Real Estate or working with Realtors.
  • Experience with Hubspot.

Compensation and Benefits
  • This is a 20-hour per-week contract position.
  • The rate is $3,125 per month (FTE equivalent of $75,000)
  • The initial term is 6-months, but will renew quarterly with agreement of both parties.
