Situated within the scenic Sun Peaks Resort, the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel is a leading provider of exceptional guest services in the mountain resort industry. We are seeking an innovative, collaborative, and experienced Marketing & Design Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will lead all digital marketing initiatives, focusing on lead generation, market research, and enhancing digital strategies to optimize performance. While primarily aimed at elevating the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel brand and growing its revenue streams, your expertise may also be called upon to support broader marketing projects at Sun Peaks Resort. Your creative input and deep understanding of the hotel and accommodations sector will be crucial in successfully driving our marketing efforts and achieving our strategic goals.
Marketing Campaigns : Collaborate cross-functionally to design and implement comprehensive marketing campaigns tailored to various business functions.
Graphic Design: Develop and implement visual concepts and design layouts for social media, websites, and print materials, leveraging a solid understanding of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts. Ensure that all creative assets consistently adhere to the latest branding standards and guidelines.
Content Creation: Develop engaging content for campaigns, websites, and social media, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Plan and coordinate seasonal promotions and events, particularly focusing on enhancing the guest experience in food and beverage operations.
Social Media Management : Manage all aspects of social media, including content calendars, engagement strategies, and influencer collaborations to enhance brand visibility and interaction.
Digital Strategy and Analytics : Develop and execute digital marketing strategies that align with business goals, monitor digital performance, and adjust tactics as needed. Regularly update and maintain digital marketing reports.
Photography and Videography : Lead efforts in photo and video content generation for marketing use, ensuring content is impactful and aligns with brand standards.
Internal Marketing Services : Oversee internal marketing needs for the hotel, ensuring consistency and quality in all marketing materials.
Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders within the mountain community and Tourism Sun Peaks.
Website Management : Collaborate on website initiatives, ensuring an up-to-date and effective online presence.
Sales Collaboration : Work closely with the sales team to integrate marketing strategies and meet business objectives.
Communication and Leadership : Ensure effective communication with hotel leadership and maintain close coordination with the mountain marketing team. Manage key metrics and analytics to guide marketing efforts
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the marketing field, with a preference for candidates who have worked in the hotel or hospitality industry.
A degree in Marketing, Commerce, or a related field is highly desirable.
Project Management: Strong project management skills, demonstrating the ability to lead projects from conception to completion.
Quick learner of new technologies and strategies relevant to marketing.
Digital Marketing: Experience with digital marketing automation software and proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD).
Online Advertising: Web Development Skills: Knowledge of web content management systems and web publishing.
SEO: Proficiency with SEO tools to enhance digital marketing efforts.
Attention to Detail: Highly developed attention to detail, particularly in creating and managing marketing content.
Results-oriented with a solid background in monitoring and reporting key marketing metrics.
Outdoor Recreation Passion: A passion for outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding, biking, and golf is a plus.
Computer Literacy: Strong computer skills are essential.
Must hold a valid driver’s license.
