We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead our HRBP function and business partnering strategy across the organization. The primary responsibility of this role is to align HR strategies and practices with the overall business objectives of Scribd. This role will sit within the HR team, reporting to Scribd’s Senior Director of People and will have management responsibilities.
Working closely with members of the HR team and broader People team, this role will support the execution of initiatives across the organization including, but not limited to performance management, coaching, employee relations, compensation, engagement and retention, career development, and benefits.
You have experience as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing guidance and support on all aspects of human resources management to help drive company success in the fast-paced and competitive tech industry. You're a creative, out-of-the-box thinker, with strong influencing skills, who is willing to take risks to help us build and scale.
Strategic HR business partnership
• Leverage deep understanding of the business strategy to provide expert insight to Executives and Leaders in the organization on HR related matters including performance management, talent mapping, development, succession management, organization effectiveness, and organizational design
• Consult and coach all levels of management to build and develop high performing, diverse and inclusive teams
• Provide data-driven recommendations to address gaps, opportunities and enhance the health, performance, and organizational effectiveness across all divisions.
HR Execution
• Demonstrate strong competency within the functional areas of HR, including but not limited to: Employee Relations, Performance Management, Coaching, Employee Engagement, Compensation & Total Rewards, People Analytics, Learning & Development, LOA Management, Immigration, Compliance, Communications, and Change Management
• Roll up sleeves to execute a full range of HR duties from high-level strategy to day-to-day HR operations
• Drive planning and implementation of company-wide People initiatives
• Mix strong business judgment with HR know-how to solve problems and get to the root cause of any issue; Enable and grow talent by being proficient in our Performance Management and Learning & Development programs
• Champion Scribd Humans, our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program
• Partner with colleagues in Finance, Legal, IT to improve cross-functional processes
• You have 8-10 years of relevant HR Generalist/Business Partner experience in a fast-paced, agile environment
• You are a skilled communicator – in pen and voice – phone or live; You have a Bachelor’s degree; additional HR related certifications or degrees a plus
• You are familiar with various HR systems and have experience working in a Mac environment using G-Suite
Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location. In Canada, the reasonably expected salary range is between $122,000 CAD[minimum salary in our lowest geographic market] to $183,250 CAD[maximum salary in our highest geographic market].
