Treatment Program Assistant Manager

The Treatment Assistant Manager – Women’s Program is responsible for oversight of Harbour Light’s bed-based substance use treatment and recovery services for adult women. They supervise the Women’s Treatment counselling and support staff, program implementation, and administrative functions. The Assistant Manager – Women’s Program will work closely with the Treatment Program Manager and act in all respects as the Women’s Program Manager in their absence. They will work collaboratively with the Assistant Manager – Men’s Program and provide supervisory support to the Men’s Program in their absence.
- Post-secondary diploma in Social Services, Psychology, Coaching, or related field.
- Member in good standing with a Canadian counselling certification body, holding a designation such as ICADC, RCC, RPC, or equivalent is a strong asset.*
- Ability to receive enhanced federal reliability status to work with federal correctional clients
- Current Certification or willingness to obtain certification in:
- First Aid/CPR
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (or equivalent)
- Mental Health First Aid
- Documentation confirming compliance with the Province’s immunization and tuberculosis control program, per Residential Care Regulations
- Proof of COVID vaccination, as required by the current version of the “Hospital and Community (Health Care And Other Services) Covid-19 Vaccination Status Information And Preventive Measures” Provincial Health Order
- At least three years of related experience
- At least two years of experience in recovery-focused substance use/addiction treatment services
- At least two years of experience in a direct service (frontline) or management role serving women/female-identifying clients
- At least one year of related supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based, trauma-informed practices in addictions treatment, the principles of recovery, and motivational interviewing
- Experience in a community care licensed facility is an asset
- Lived experience is an asset; a minimum of three (3) years of stable recovery
