Payroll Clerk

The Payroll Clerk position will be responsible for daily entry of QB sheets, biweekly processing of payroll, related payroll changes & adjustments and benefit remittances. Administrative duties will involve reception coverage, booking travel, Accounts Payable backup and support to Accounting, HR and Supervisors as needed.

Performance Expectations  

  • Entering Daily QB and PI bonus sheets
  • Ordering weekly office and coffee supplies
  • Distributing postal and intercompany mail
  • Booking rental cars and hotels for business travel as needed
  • Assistance with maintaining WSIB and Insurance documentation for visitors and contractors
  • AP backup as required
  • Includes preparation of customer invoices from shipping documents and preparation of daily sales reports.
  • Preparation and balancing of bi-weekly payroll for all employees including deductions.
  • Administration of payroll involving ADP payroll services.
  • Preparation of payroll initiated remittances (WSIB, Cooperators, Manulife).
  • Adjusting irregularities in pay.
  • Verify accuracy of all relevant documents.
  • Provide support in the form of general office duties i.e. ordering office supplies, receptionist coverage, etc.


Credentials  

  • High School Diploma or equivalent general education.
  • Minimum of five years hands-on experience in accounting field, specifically payroll administration.
  • Knowledge of ADP Payroll systems, EmpCenter, and Oracle considered an asset.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of IFS considered an asset.
  • Familiarity working in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
