The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada (BGEAC) is well known for the powerful evangelism and outreach ministry of our founder, Billy Graham. As the Internet Evangelism Ministry Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Internet Evangelism Manager with recruitment, administration, and implementation of our Search for Jesus (SFJ) initiatives. Your focus will be onboarding English speaking volunteers and helping ensure that the mission reaches far and wide. Additionally, this role will help set-up and train staff and volunteers for data collection, entry, maintenance, and reporting in support of requests. As an integral member of the BGEAC Ministry, this individual is expected to perform in a professional manner and deliver high quality outcomes and will help BGEAC carry out its mission and objectives through participation in daily prayer ministry.

The successful candidate will hold a full-time permanent position in Calgary’s head office with comprehensive health benefits, life insurance, and medical/dental and short-term/long-term disability benefits. This position also includes RRSP contributions after one year of employment and 15 vacation days per year to start.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Applies High Impact principles of volunteer leadership for effective team management and development
  • Coordinates volunteer recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes, including initial encounters, application reviews, interviews, and maintaining detailed records in the SFJ proprietary volunteer care system
  • Handles inquiries from donors, staff, and vendors professionally and courteously, and ensures timely response to inquiries via email or telephone
  • Maintains record-keeping systems with confidentiality and handle sensitive information according to organizational policies
  • Assists in planning, organizing, and scheduling events, meetings, and appointments, including logistics such as agendas, facilities, meals, and travel
  • Performs clerical support functions such as preparing outgoing communications and informational packages
  • Performs comprehensive database management tasks, including data entry, cleanup, research, updates, verification, and report generation
  • Coordinates financial information processing, including purchase orders, invoices, payments, expense reports, and travel authorizations

Qualifications:

  • Qualified applicants must be committed to Christian values and precepts and be in agreement and compliance with the BGEAC Statement of Faith
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a ministry related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • 1-3 years in an administrative role
  • Event coordination is considered an asset
  • Experience working with or leading volunteer teams is considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational, administrative, problem-solving, and self-direction skills
  • Exhibits outstanding phone etiquette, maintaining a pleasant and professional demeanor in all interactions
  • Upholds strict confidentiality of records and information
  • Possesses a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Exhibits superior communication and customer service skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Shows initiative and can work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to travel domestically and to the US

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
