About the Opportunity

Assembling reports of company earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability payments, and non-taxable wages Preparing year-end employee tax slips or forms, and submitting government filings to meet deadlines Maintaining confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards Working with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure benefits and payroll services are delivered Monitoring and analyzing expenses against the payroll budget to help prepare cost forecasts and budgets Ensuring databases are set up and reflect the current employee base, including salaries, hourly wages, benefits, and pension percentages

About You

Associate's or bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws Good understanding of the common fiscal procedures Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills Able to work effectively with minimal supervision Physically able to work seated in front of a computer for long hours at a time Canadian Payroll Association - Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Minimum of 1-2+ years’ direct Canadian Payroll Knowledge of UKG Strong sense of responsibility, and ability to meet regular deadlines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
