Infrastructure Analyst – 3 Month ContractLocation: Vancouver, BC / HybridStaffing Placement OpportunityPROJECT DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUNDOur client is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Analyst with a solid knowledge and experience working in IT Infrastructure & Operations, preferably with experience with Windows servers, VMWare, Exchange, Office 365, and with Azure technologies. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have solid and proven experience supporting IT infrastructure within a large and complex organization and assessing and recommending support solutions. SERVICES:The Infrastructure Analyst will be assigned to daily operational tasks, upgrades, and related technology projects, as the need arises. These tasks may run concurrently or sequentially based on dependencies identified during work planning.Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, and working closely with technical team members, project team members, business stakeholders and service providers, the Infrastructure Analyst will:Perform implementation, monitoring and maintenance of on- and off-premise data centre infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, cloud-based services, remote systems hosting, infrastructure process automation, data backup and archival systems and processes, systems management software, and related products.Provide technical support and maximize operational efficiency for data center infrastructure.Provide resolution support for all escalated data centre infrastructure related operational issues and service requests.Participate in data centre infrastructure projects.Monitor and maintain data centre infrastructure performance and capacity.Coordinate Change Management for the infrastructure and supporting applications.Provide expertise and assistance to staff concerning data centre infrastructure requirements.Knowledge and Experience:This position is technically complex and requires a senior Infrastructure Analyst with significant experience in an information systems environment involving the data center infrastructure design and analysis, troubleshooting and complex project implementation at a senior level in a large enterprise.Other qualifications include: A diploma in Computer Science or related discipline from a recognized institute of technology,specializing in data centre infrastructure or a Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Scienceor related discipline. 4+ years previous experience in an information systems environment involving the data centerinfrastructure design and analysis, troubleshooting and complex project implementation at asenior level in a large enterprise. Extensive and proven experience managing stakeholders utilizing strong interpersonal andcommunication skills, both verbally and in writing. ITIL Certification is a preference. Experience gathering and analyzing functional and technical requirements and information fromkey technical and business areas. Experience writing and documenting operational processes and best practicesNote; this is an opportunity with a Microserve client
