As Inside Sales Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for prospecting within the travel industry, qualifying new leads, and closing sales over the phone, email or through our online channels.

The role as Inside Sales Coordinator for HX Expeditions will be a focused around supporting the Americas Sales & Marketing team and expanding the HX brand in the Americas. HX is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented sales individual to join our dynamic sales team. As the Inside Sales Coordinator, you will be nurturing relationships with our preferred partners and the ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Prospecting and Lead Generation:
o Identify and research potential leads through our various channels, including cold calling, emails and social media
o Nurture leads based on the business objectives and sales growth targets
o Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities in the company's system
• Servicing travel advisor questions regarding brand products, promotions, destinations, policies, issues, with emphasis on positive and timely resolution for the advisor and company
• Educating travel advisors prospects on our products, destinations, and promotions, and generating and increasing sales by conducting outbound call and e-campaigns
• Clearly articulate the value proposition and benefits of our offerings to travel partners and customers
• Conduct sales presentations to educate prospects about HX destinations, products & services
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and customers through regular communication and follow-up.
• Establish rapport and trust with customers & partners to facilitate the sales process
• Close sales and achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Provide feedback to management on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
• Assist HX America Sales team in supporting our Partners, which can include but not limited to:
o Preparation and distribution of sales reports at an agency, national account and consortia level
o Reporting on Agency and Agent registrations
o Follow up on new partners recently registered in Salesforce/B2B Portal; tracking of our Certified Specialists training program and upkeep of B2B portal information and Online travel training content
o Monthly maintenance of partner profiles
o Work with agent partners to deliver accurate, on brand marketing campaigns
o Attend national consumer/trade shows, key agency meetings, consumer events, award nights and educational trips
o Effective communication through phone/e-mail with inquiries from our partners (product questions, booking management, brochure/marketing collateral requests, etc.)
o Coordinate events such as ship visits, FAM trips, regional product launches
o Efficiently order and manage sales merchandise and trade brochures
o Effectively manage escalated agent booking queries
o Monitor and action dedicated agency support mailbox - Answer day to day calls, emails and communication from trade partners
o Work with Sales Support and Customer Support Center to solve issues/concerns on advisor bookings

Academic and Professional Qualifications

  • Expedition knowledge or travel industry experience specializing in niche product & services, preferably in the cruise sector.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Business acumen (business knowledge, competitor awareness, organization strategies)
  • Proactive and results-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • 5 years of relevant sales experience

Additional Knowledge & Skillsets

  • Strong knowledge of travel industry
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, Teams and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Salesforce
  • Confident speaking in front of a crowd
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Valid passport and able to travel within the USA/Canada, and internationally as required

This is a remote position and may require some travel.

Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary for this position is $60k to 65K USD plus Sales Incentive Plan.
