The  Regional Human Resources Lead, Canada , will oversee all HR functions for the Architecture and Engineering offices in Toronto, Richmond Hill, Ottawa, Kingston, London, Calgary, Victoria, Penticton and Vancouver with a staff of nearly 600 professionals, including engineers, planners, architects, economists, scientists and other disciplines.
This key role will be based in Toronto or Richmond Hill and will report to our Managing Director in Canada with indirect reporting relationships to our HR Directors in our Omaha, Nebraska headquarters. We will count on you to act as a conduit between the HR team and to senior business leaders.

Manage a variety of HR-related functions for the local managers and corporate HR Department.

· Oversee HR functions within Canada, working with HR employees assigned to the area to resolve HR-related matters.
Analyze and advise employees and management on the interpretation of employment policies, procedures and methods to resolve issues.
Manage and direct a team of HR professionals across Canada.
Facilitate HR activities for the area and provide guidance to employees as necessary.
Work closely with corporate HR in developing and implementing policies.
Assist managers with performance management issues, employee relations concerns and corrective actions.
Implement HDR’s talent management programs that we have developed for recruiting and onboarding; strategic co-op program management; performance management; learning and development; Assist managers with employee guidance and salary planning.
Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships, particularly at the senior management level, based on the demonstration of added value of the HR function.
Be a leader in developing and implementing regional or national HR projects and programs.
Lead the HR agenda within the Region, leveraging relationships and HR expertise to communicate policies & procedures, reinforce HDR values and strategic plan, and demonstrate alignment between HR programs, business objectives and HDR’s values.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related with 10+ years of progressive HR business partner and leadership experience
Ability to collaborate with various HR and client group teams to build solid relationships.
Demonstrated experience managing projects.
