About the Role:

Quidi Vidi Brewery (QVB), Newfoundland and Labrador’s largest craft brewery, is moving into its next stage of growth and evolution.  To help drive this expansion, QVB recruiting a Marketing Manager to build on our past success and take the brewery and its marketing function to new levels of excellence. Utilizing a strong strategic mindset, creative programing, and impactful, engaging digital media strategies and tactics, you will effectively position the organization and strengthen its connection with customers while driving revenue growth. A true leader and collaborator, you build positive, productive relationships and effectively engage others – both inside and outside the organization – to promote mutual success. Most importantly, you will be a champion of QVB, working with our enthusiastic employees to bring our mission and vision to life.

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth through the development of a marketing strategy that establishes a strong corporate brand and strategically positions the company within its market segment.
  • Develop and ensure the effective execution of digital strategies and initiatives to more fully promote our brand and products, and engage our customers.
  • Utilize market segmentation and data analytics to identify and optimize new growth opportunities and to inform strategy development.
  • Provide marketing advice to evaluate market potential and guide new product development and positioning.
  • Lead QVB’s e-commerce strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership and team members from sales, retail, tap room, sponsors, community partners, etc. to help drive the success of those areas.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to create compelling marketing material and content.
  • Develop and leverage key relationships and partnerships to grow business opportunities.
  • Develop, interpret and report key performance metrics.
  • Build and lead a cohesive, skilled and productive marketing team.
  • Foster a culture which reflects QVB’s values and commitment to mission and vision.
  • Develop and manage the department’s annual plan and budget.
  • Align various programs, initiatives, branded material, and communications across the organization to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
  • Pursue and generate positive coverage through the various forms of media.
  • Plan and oversee all brand and partner promotional programs and events.
  • Develop new product branding including labels, packaging, advertising, signage, etc.


Qualifications

  • Degree in business, marketing and/or communications.
  • Proven ability to establish a strong marketing orientation within an organization, effectively demonstrating the value the function brings to organizational success.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, leading, and executing successful marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Thorough knowledge of, and ability to effectively utilize, digital media to drive business results.
  • Previous success building a cohesive, productive team.
  • Recognized collaborative, values-based leadership approach.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret market trends and data.
  • Previous experience developing and managing budgets.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and partnerships.
  • Ability to represent the company and to influence others.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and taking the initiative.
  • Comfortable working with staff at all levels to get the job done.
  • A passion for craft beer.
  • MBA would be an asset
