SGS Sports is a swimwear company based in Montreal, Canada. The company has made its reputation by achieving great success with the brand name Body Glove. SGS has also developed private brands of swimwear, including Eidon and SKYE.
Job Summary:
The Creative Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the creative vision and strategy for all brands. We are looking for someone who is autonomous, hands-on, highly organized, has strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for fashion. The individual will report to the Marketing Director and work closely with a Digital Marketing and eCommerce Manager, a Marketing Specialist, and two Graphic Designers.
This is a part-time position (2 to 3 days per week) with the potential to develop into a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the overall creative strategy for the brands, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute campaign and eCommerce photoshoots (local and overseas) that align with the brands’ vision and strategy.
- Work with the eCommerce and sales team to understand product presentation requirements and deliver assets that enhance the online shopping experience.
- Collaborate with photographers, models, and stylists to ensure the photoshoots meet the creative and marketing objectives.
- Oversee post-production processes, including editing and retouching, to ensure high-quality final assets.
- Manage the organization and storage of digital assets for easy access and use across various platforms.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with external vendors, freelancers, and agencies to produce creative assets.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships to ensure the best quality and value for the brands.
- Ensure consistency and integrity of the brand identity across all touchpoints, including packaging, website, social media, and advertising.
- Develop various digital assets with the design team.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in fashion marketing.
- Other ad hoc duties as they arise from project to project.
Requirements:
- Must have experience in planning and executing photoshoots, including managing productions of medium size or larger.
- Understanding of the creative process and concepts of editing and retouching.
- Have creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of current fashion trends, market dynamics, and consumer behavior.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software is a plus.
- Experience in the fashion and/or sport industry is a plus.
- Must be fully bilingual (French and English).
- Must be willing to travel for work.
