SALARY: $130K-150K +15% BONUS
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 to 10 years of progressive management responsibility in a complex environment, ideally a 24/7 operation
- Previous experience managing the maintenance and reliability of equipment and machinery
- Managing maintenance inventory, staff, contractors, and operations
- Prior experience managing complex environments with multiple production lines/machinery
- Demonstrated leadership presence
- Ability to learn quickly
- Outstanding judgment and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic setting
- Analytical problem-solving skills with outstanding attention to detail
- Strategic vision with the ability to implement
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to empower and influence others positively
- Curiosity and willingness to challenge self and others to higher levels of performance
- Great organizational change skills
- Geographic mobility within Nova Scotia and the US (South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Kansas, Iowa, and Indiana)
- Willingness to relocate internationally for a potential short-term assignment
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Manager for a global manufacturing company’s Bridgewater, NS plant. As Maintenance Manager, you will:
- Guarantee and drive the collective performance to achieve important goals in safety, machine availability, quality, delivery, and cost established with the plant management team
- Manage and mentor salaried personnel and have indirect wage reports who have responsibility for meeting safety, quality, and delivery targets within the workshop
- Be part of an accelerated development program with a goal of positioning the new leader to rapidly gain experience and grow quickly within the organization
- Gain experience and promote into higher-level operations roles within the company
- Take on international assignments as the opportunity exists to participate in a short-term global rotation assignment for development within the company
What you will do:
- Manage a team of multi-disciplinary maintenance professionals including salaried and hourly support staff in a 24 hour/day, 7 day/week manufacturing facility
- Monitor and manage daily performance and process reliability, and set mid/long term strategic direction in line with company objectives
- Establish and lead the maintenance budget for their area of responsibility (workforce, supply & contract services)
- Establish the maintenance strategy, analyze results, and implement vital actions
- Mentor and promote employee development
- Demonstrate passion for continuous improvement in safety, production, compliance, maintenance, and employee development/mentorship
- Provide team communication on company, plant, and department business plan objectives and performance
