Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance professionals and driving the collective performance to achieve important goals in safety, machine availability, quality, delivery, and cost.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Lead a team of multi-disciplinary maintenance professionals** to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility.
- **Monitor and manage daily performance and process reliability**, setting mid/long-term strategic direction in line with company objectives.
- **Establish and lead the maintenance budget** for your area of responsibility, ensuring effective use of resources.
- **Develop and implement vital actions** to improve maintenance strategy, analyze results, and drive continuous improvement.
- **Mentor and promote employee development**, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- **Demonstrate passion for continuous improvement** in safety, production, compliance, maintenance, and employee development/mentorship.
- **Provide team communication** on company, plant, and department business plan objectives and performance.
**Requirements:**
- 5 to 10 years of progressive management responsibility in a complex environment, ideally a 24/7 operation.
- Previous experience managing the maintenance and reliability of equipment and machinery.
- Managing maintenance inventory, staff, contractors, and operations.
- Prior experience managing complex environments with multiple production lines/machinery.
- Demonstrated leadership presence.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Outstanding judgment and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with outstanding attention to detail.
- Strategic vision with the ability to implement.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to empower and influence others positively.
- Curiosity and willingness to challenge self and others to higher levels of performance.
- Great organizational change skills.
- Geographic mobility within Nova Scotia and the US (South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Kansas, Iowa, and Indiana).
- Willingness to relocate internationally for a potential short-term assignment.
