Account Executive

Permanent Position, Montreal or Montreal North Shore territory


The ideal candidate will possess strong sales, interpersonal and organizational skills. They should be comfortable with multitasking and be able to budget their resources in order to meet the assigned quotas for their role.


Compensation:

  • Salary: $75-85K base, 130-140K total comp,
  • Car allowance

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in industry trade shows and conferences to gather leads and establish connections with new and existing clients.
  • Achieve assigned sales quotas, aiming for increased revenue and growth by independently generating leads from a smaller client portfolio.
  • Take responsibility for pursuing assigned leads and managing a specific set of accounts within a specific industry vertical, with the goal of developing new business within the company (high-revenue accounts) in accordance with company policy.
  • Achieve the assigned retention quota by generating additional sales from existing customers.
  • Conduct annual business reviews with all customers, creating joint development plans to address any issues that arise.
  • Act as the primary point of contact to promptly handle complex account-related matters and meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with various internal cross-functional teams as necessary to support current and prospective clients.
  • Develop presentations and lead sales calls as part of the sales process.
  • Update client information in the company's database and manage account-related administrative tasks in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Organize quotes, bids, and responses to requests for information or proposals according to the company's processes and standards.
  • Responsible for negotiating contracts.
  • Continuously identify and drive opportunities for improvement within the team, utilizing lean principles and methodologies.


Experience and Skills:

  • Post-secondary education required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B and B2C sales, using a solution-selling approach, and at least 3 years of experience selling to directors, vice presidents, and C-level executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage accounts with a medium revenue base.
  • Knowledge and experience of sales methodologies such as Strategic Account Selling (SAS) or solution selling.
  • Salesforce knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the relevant territory and industry for the sales role.
  • Willingness to travel (amount of travel required may vary).
