Toronto, Canada Canadian Security Trader's Association, Inc (CSTA) Full time

The board administrator and event coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Office of the Canadian Security Traders Association Presidency, as well as two boards: the Canadian Security Traders Association (CSTA) and the Institutional Equity Traders Association (IETA) of Toronto. The role will primarily focus on event planning, conference planning, and providing assistance to the boards. The ideal candidate will have a background in capital markets and marketing, with a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.



Responsibilities

- Plan and coordinate corporate access events, including meetings, conferences, and networking events.

- Assist in the planning and execution of Canadian Security Traders Association and Institutional Equity Traders Association conferences / events, including logistics, agenda development, and speaker coordination.

- Provide administrative support to the Canadian Security Traders Association and Institutional Equity Traders Association, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and document preparation.

- Work closely with the marketing team to promote Canadian Security Traders Association and Institutional Equity Traders Association events and initiatives.

- Assist in managing relationships with external vendors and sponsors.

- Collaborate with the board to develop and implement strategic initiatives.

- Maintain board records and handle incoming and outgoing email, answer general inquiries;

- Maintain an efficient file management and bring forward system;

- Perform administrative and related duties as assigned and assist others as required;

- Other duties as required.



Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field.

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in event planning, preferably in the financial services industry.

- Knowledge of StarChapter is an asset. 

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and event planning software.

- Knowledge of capital markets and trading industry preferred.


Additional requirements

- Ability to work both in-person and virtually.

- Willingness to travel for conferences and events as needed.

- Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours when required.
