JOB SUMMARY

The Hotel General Manager will provide leadership and strategic direction across all areas of the property, fostering the hotel's service culture while maximizing operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
  • Ensuring the overall success of all hotel operations.
  • Hands-on, willing to extend support within the operations as needed.
  • Support Ownership in the overall management and strategic direction of the hotel.
  • Maintain leading-edge knowledge of both our competitive market set and developments in the hospitality industry.
  • Coordinate the planning and implementation of capital projects, under the direction of Ownership.
  • Oversee the operations functions of the hotel, including but not limited to Front Office, Housekeeping, and Maintenance.
  • Ensure revenue maximization, cost controls, scheduling, and the ongoing training and development of the Team.
  • Lead and support all departments in the achievement of their financial and operational targets through establishment of a positive culture, clear expectations, and policy & procedural implementation.
  • Overseeing the health, safety and security of Guests and the Team.
  • Participate in the strategic planning and ongoing development of the hotel by assisting in the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel's Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven ability to ensure timely, accurate, and on-target monthly financial outlooks for hotel operations.
  • Strong understanding and adherence to hotel operating controls to ensure full compliance.
  • Actively participates in the recruitment process for all positions within operating departments.
  • Willingness to take on additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and versatility.
  • Highly responsible, reliable, and trustworthy with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Exceptional focus on guest needs, always maintaining a calm and courteous demeanor.
