About the Company

Our client, a well-established and reputable law firm is seeking a Corporate Legal Assistant to join its corporate law practice. This firm is known for delivering high-quality legal services with a client-focused approach and fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and legal support to corporate lawyers, ensuring efficient file management.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including incorporations, annual resolutions, and minute book maintenance.
  • Assist with corporate transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.
  • Conduct corporate searches, filings, and registrations with government agencies.
  • Manage lawyers' calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate client communications.
  • Handle document preparation for corporate closings, including drafting closing agendas and organizing closing binders.
  • Maintain and update corporate records and databases.
  • Process invoices, track billable time, and manage expense reports.

Requirements

  • Legal Assistant diploma or equivalent certification.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a legal assistant in corporate law.
  • Strong understanding of corporate legal procedures and document preparation.
  • Proficiency in legal document management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and collaboratively.
