We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Specialist to join our team. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in sales, operations management, and vendor relations.


About the Role:

As a Sales Specialist, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our showroom while driving sales and sourcing exceptional lighting products. You will leverage your extensive industry network to build relationships with designers, builders, and retail clients, ensuring our showroom remains the go-to destination for decorative lighting.


Key Responsibilities:


Store Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of the showroom, ensuring an organized, efficient, and customer-friendly environment.
  • Train and mentor sales staff, fostering a high-performance culture.


Product Sourcing and Vendor Relations:

  • Source and curate a diverse and high-quality selection of lighting fixtures, staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating terms and managing product catalogs.
  • Ensure seamless inventory management, including tracking, ordering, and stock optimization.


Client Engagement and Sales Development:

  • Cultivate and expand a network of interior designers, builders, and other industry professionals.
  • Provide expert guidance to clients, offering tailored solutions to meet their design needs.
  • Drive sales through exceptional client service and follow-through.
  • Represent the company at industry events, showcasing our offerings and building brand awareness.


What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented professional with a passion for design and sales, coupled with the ability to lead and inspire a team.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in retail or showroom sales, preferably within the design or home decor industry.
  • Strong operational management skills with a focus on organization and efficiency.
  • Expertise in product sourcing and vendor relations, with the ability to navigate catalogs and negotiate terms.
  • A well-established network of industry contacts, including designers, builders, and contractors.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting client and vendor relationships.
  • A deep passion for design and decor, with an understanding of current trends and customer preferences.
