Tipco is a Canadian tooling manufacturer founded in 1959. We are currently seeking a Bilingual Customer Service Representative with previous manufacturing experience to join our team.


The ideal candidate has some hands-on manufacturing experience. The ideal candidate must be fluent in French. The position will be based in Tipco's Ontario office.


In the role, you will be responsible for responding to and following up on requests for quotations, purchase orders, order changes, and other inquiries from customers. The candidate will be responsible for working with other staff to provide customer service support – including timely responses to quote requests and purchase orders.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist with the preparation of sales quotes and purchase orders
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of sales documents (i.e. prices, terms, and delivery dates)
  • Assist with the investigation of customer complaints, including corrective measures
  • Maintain and update files on current and perspective customers
  • Solve problems related to customer orders
  • Perform any other duties that may be required by members of management.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to actively listen and respond to customer questions, inquiries, and requests
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts (i.e. discounts, costs, percentages, volume, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in team environment (i.e. work as a team player)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)


Requirements:

  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in French
  • High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education is an asset)
  • Minimum of 3+ years manufacturing experience
  • Strong technical/mechanical aptitude
  • Understand and abide by all company policies and procedures: including professional dress code; punctuality; attendance; and, sales process policies
  • Valid driver’s license
