Position: Supervisor, Maintenance

Location: Cochrane, ON


GreenFirst is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to provide planning and direction to the Site Services area, optimizing the process in providing site and electrical maintenance services in the most cost effective manner to maximize the Sawmill productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and provide a safe workplace, seek improvements, support Health & Safety Program.
  • Lead a motivated, efficient and engaged mechanical maintenance team of direct reports and provide career development opportunities.
  • Coach and mentor employees to ensure maximum performance.
  • Support compliance with Collective Agreement and sound union/management/employee relations.
  • Maintain a communication program to keep your team informed regarding mill and department priorities.
  • Report to Maintenance Superintendent.
  • Support and maintain an effective predictive and preventative maintenance program.
  • Plan and record maintenance activities by using the site maintenance management system.
  • Monitor the spare part inventories and keep equipment files up to date.
  • Report on the status of maintenance work at the weekly priority meeting.
  • Review production, quality control, maintenance, down time and statistical reports and work orders to optimally plan own activities.
  • Provide training recommendations to the Maintenance Superintendent.
  • Maintain and effectively keep all mechanical equipment in a safe operating condition.
  • Report and explain deviations from planned activities.
  • Recommend changes/improvements to the maintenance management system and standards to the Maintenance Superintendent.


Requirements:

  • Education: College diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years in a related field.
  • Bilingual (French & English): An asset

GreenFirst est à la recherche d'un(e) superviseur(e) de maintenance pour assurer la planification et la direction du secteur des services de site, en optimisant le processus de fourniture de services de maintenance de site et d'électricité de la manière la plus rentable possible afin de maximiser la productivité et l'efficacité de l'usine de sciage.

Responsabilités:

  • Promouvoir et assurer la sécurité du lieu de travail, rechercher des améliorations, soutenir le programme de santé et de sécurité.
  • Diriger une équipe d'entretien mécanique motivée, efficace et engagée, composée de subordonnés directs, et offrir des possibilités de développement de carrière.
  • Encadrer et guider les employés afin d'assurer une performance maximale.
  • Favoriser le respect de la convention collective et de bonnes relations entre le syndicat, la direction et les employés.
  • Maintenir un programme de communication afin de tenir votre équipe informée des priorités de l'usine et du service.
  • Relever du surintendant de l'entretien.
  • Soutenir et maintenir un programme efficace de maintenance prédictive et préventive.
  • Planifier et enregistrer les activités de maintenance en utilisant le système de gestion de la maintenance du site.
  • Contrôler les stocks de pièces détachées et tenir à jour les dossiers des équipements.
  • Rendre compte de l'état d'avancement des travaux de maintenance lors de la réunion hebdomadaire sur les priorités.
  • Examiner la production, le contrôle de la qualité, la maintenance, les temps d'arrêt, les rapports statistiques et les ordres de travail afin de planifier au mieux ses propres activités.
  • Formuler des recommandations en matière de formation à l'intention du surintendant de la maintenance.
  • Entretenir et maintenir efficacement tous les équipements mécaniques dans un état de fonctionnement sûr.
  • Signaler et expliquer les écarts par rapport aux activités planifiées.
  • Recommander au responsable de l'entretien des modifications/améliorations du système et des normes de gestion de l'entretien.


Exigences:

  • Formation : Diplôme d'études collégiales ou expérience professionnelle équivalente.
  • Expérience : 5 ans ou plus dans un domaine connexe.
  • Bilingue (français et anglais) : Un atout
