Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

Reports to: Water Business Sales Manager


Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for maximizing sales revenue by selling commercial off-the-shelf software products, maintenance renewals, and third-party software to the Companies current and future customer base. The candidate will be based out of the Waterloo Hydrogeologic office in Waterloo, Ontario occasionally travel to trade shows and exhibitons as requested.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and qualify sales leads and marketing opportunities within assigned territory;
  • Implement approved strategic sales plans for assigned accounts;
  • Work with distribution partners to reach existing and potential customers;
  • Provide market intelligence and voice of the customer (VOC) back to supervisor;
  • Actively participate in cold calling/emailing sales processes;
  • Employ proven customer upselling and customer retention techniques;
  • Attend industry trade shows and exhibits as directed;
  • Maintain a professional appearance during sales calls, trade shows and company events;
  • Other duties as may be assigned;


Experience/Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience with inside sales preferably with software products;
  • Minimum of a secondary school diploma;
  • Ability to multitask and desire for personal development;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with excellence phone etiquette;
  • Ability to think quickly and adapt to a changing environment;
  • Ability and comfortable with learning new software;
  • Standard office computer skills in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 Database preferred, but other CRM experience will be considered;
  • Candidate must be a self-motivated, results driven professional with self-confidence and discipline and the ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment;


Compensation

  • Base Salary, commensurate with experience;
  • 3 weeks paid vacation time per year;
  • Company Medical, Dental, Life, Disability and Retirement
