POSITION DESCRIPTION: the Jazz Drummondville residence has the pleasure of welcoming a golden clientele, autonomous or losing their autonomy. It is the opportunity to be recognized, valued, to participate in the continuous improvement of the service and to make a significant difference in the daily lives of seniors We are currently looking for a talented Auxiliary Nurse who cares about the health of residents.

Permanent full-time position, 7/15, day and evening and weekends as needed.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies

Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics

Assist in evaluating and adjusting therapeutic nursing plans (TNPs) for residents requiring special clinical care

Create and maintain metuculous notes in related Dossiers in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières du Québec (OIIQ)

Ensure good communication as well as medical follow-ups with the vested parties

Help maintain the relationship of trust with residents' family and friends as well as with various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)

Identify and transmit the needs of the service department

Promote and advocate for proactive care among residents

Provide healthcare and wellness services to maintain and restore residents health and to help prevent illness

Respond to all emergency situations

Take part in the clinical assessments of residents and update treatment plans according to their specific needs

Upon request by the residents doctor or pharmacist, update the residents medical dossiers and prescriptions

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Collect degree in nursing (DEC) or a proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing

Basic computer skills

Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset

Good sense of interpersonal communication

Geriatric experience, an asset

A minimum of 1 to 2 years experience

Member of the OIIAQ or the or OIIQ

Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
