Summary

The Digital Asset and Packaging Assistant reports to the Marketing Manager and works closely with all members of the Marketing & Design Team. This is a multi-faceted role with a range of administrative, packaging, and project-related duties. A collaborative team player, the Digital Asset and Packaging Assistant embodies a positive, professional, proactive approach to his/her work.


Primary Responsibilities

The following is a list of essential functions the Digital Asset and Packaging Assistant is responsible for:


  • Update and manage internal packaging and product bill of materials in a centralized packaging portal. Including but not limited to dielines, artwork, packaging specifications, structural design of packaging.
  • Update and manage external packaging portals for private retail brands. Including but not limited to dielines, artwork, packaging specifications, structural design of packaging.
  • Format and create dielines and artwork (Illustrator) to requirements provided by retailers or Marketing department.
  • Modifying existing art and files to meet new label standards or minor packaging updates.
  • Organize digital archive in required format as directed by Marketing department.
  • Photography and editing of packaging as directed by Marketing department
  • Assist with press production files.
  • Assist Creative Director in generating or revising Marketing assets including but not limited to Point of Sales documents, Digital Ads, and Print Ads as required by the Marketing department
  • Coordinate shipping of product samples for all locations including but not limited to trade shows samples and customer samples, ensuring accurate pack style and quality as directed by Marketing department.
  • Assisting with various digital assets and providing support to Creative Director and Marketing team as requested. Requests may include but are not limited to, uploading assets to webpage, providing support to Creative Director on design requests, assisting Marketing Coordinator with creating single use assets for events/tradeshows/social media as needed.


Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities Requirements

  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Highly attentive to details – ability to notice and address small yet important elements.
  • Methodical – Ensures every task is completed comprehensively and accurately, and demonstrates a careful and precise approach to work.
  • Ability to work well with others across diverse working environments.
  • Strategic thinker – ability to anticipate future opportunities and challenges and develop innovative solutions that address both immediate issues and future needs.
  • Experience in packaging development an asset.
  • Experience in packaging production design an asset.
  • Positive attitude with a desire to learn and work in a team and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proven ability to generate, proof and edit documents.
  • Must have driver’s license and vehicle.
