We provide reliable reinforcement solutions to our clients so that their projects will withstand the test of time and meet the highest industry standards.


We have a plan in Brantford and another plant in Laval.


Summary :


The Business Development Manager– Ontario will be responsible for the expansion, brand awareness of Numesh in undeveloped markets and with key players in the construction industry.


He will be leading the management of the Business Development for Toronto (GTA) and Ottawa and will participate and influence the launch of new products to meet profitability goals. Externally, he will establish long-term relationships with business partners that enhance profitability and market position, and through his solid network he will open strategic opportunities with Engineering firms, Contractors, Government, Cities and other potential targets.


The position is based in Toronto, Ontario with travel required to customers as appropriate. An ideal candidate is a sales professional with extensive experience and network in the construction industry (concrete, precasters, Engineering firms, large contractors). The candidate with his extensive contact network will open some doors in the markets we are underrepresented (Toronto, Ottawa).


Job duties :


  • Define sales objectives: This involves setting specific sales targets for Toronto and Numesh across Canada. These objectives are based on revenue, sales volumes, profit margins, etc.
  • Create strategies and action plans to boost sales, including developing new markets, expend marketing campaigns, promotions, special offers, etc.
  • Supervise prospecting for new leads. Finding new potential customers is crucial for business growth. Guide the sales team in identifying and targeting qualified prospects, whether through meeting with key personal relationships, cold calling, digital marketing, trade shows, etc.
  • Work with the sales and service team to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue.
  • Help Manage a few existing key clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and retain business.
  • Identify business opportunities, generate warm leads, and seek out partnerships.
  • Negotiate and close business deals with sales team.
  • Develop a strong strategic relationship with new and existing clients (focus on head office and large corporations)
  • Predict clients’ future needs and devise strategies and action plans to meet those needs.
  • Defining and Attaining sales targets and support the Canadian Team to achieve them.
  • Conduct and assign market research and analysis.
  • Attend industry functions and provide feedback and information on emerging trends.
  • Consult with and present to senior management and sales team on business trends in order to develop new services, products, and distribution channels.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to increased sales.
  • Use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals and meet targets.


Education & Skill Requirements :


  • Minimum of ten (10) years in Business Development experience in the construction industry
  • Bachelor in business, marketing, economics, or a related field
  • Proven understanding of the construction and steel industry and other related area
  • Excellent network in the industry and capacity to get meetings and open new opportunities with them
  • Excellent organizational, strategic, planning, and implementation skills
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, and facts
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
  • Ability to respond appropriately in high-pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanor
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
