Robert Half is filling a Financial Analyst position for a thriving company in the Real Estate & Property industry. If you want to become a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management, this Financial Analyst position might be the job for you
The strongest candidates for this position will be comfortable with conducting financial modeling on various financial products, as well as measuring, analyzing and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans. Advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management will also be part of this position. This Financial Analyst role is based in the Vancouver, British Columbia, area and is a short-term contract / temporary employment opportunity.
Your responsibilities
- Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
- Research performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
- Work closely with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
- Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
- Review annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations
- This position would suit a flexible individual that has experience managing large amounts of information and meeting expectations
- Assemble and overview forecasting reports
- Maintain weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
- Create effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and recommendation support
- Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
- Strong familiarity with Anaplan and Microsoft Excel
- Financial analysis experience highly preferred
- Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
- Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
