The LDB is one of two branches of government responsible for the cannabis and liquor industry of B.C. We operate the wholesale distribution of beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis within the province, as well as the household retail brands of BC Liquor Stores and BC Cannabis Stores.

Finance is separated into five work groups (Finance Corporate, Finance Wholesale, Regulatory and Compliance, Finance Retail, and Shared Services) and provides financial services to all LDB departments. The Finance division provides financial reporting, advisory services, budgeting, capital asset reporting, and financial transactional processing (banking, accounting payable, accounts receivable). Finance is responsible for the LDB’s enterprise risk management program and oversees regulatory compliance for BC liquor manufacturers/warehouses.

Private distribution and direct delivery by BC suppliers to wholesale customers accounts for over $1B in annual revenue, or about 30% of overall liquor sales in BC. The Private Distribution Reporting Analyst is accountable for monitoring, analyzing, handling exceptions and reporting on status of status of data flow from private distributors to the LDB financial systems. These transactions include sales and inventory movement data from liquor manufacturers, private liquor warehouses and retailers authorized to sell to hospitality customers.

The role is responsible for analysis of reported data for compliance, accuracy and completeness as well as integrity and timely processing of transactions for provincial markup collection, tracking of inventory movement, generating invoices for revenue collection and payments to suppliers.

The Private Distribution Reporting Analyst provides essential analysis and support in troubleshooting and issue resolution to the compliance support clerks and contributes to design of policies, procedures and systems to enhance efficiency, quality and timeliness of reporting process.

**Position Requirements**:
**Education and Experience**:

- Degree in business administration or accounting or equivalent discipline and one (1) year of recent, related experience,*

OR
- Diploma in accounting or business administration or equivalent discipline and three (3) years of recent, related experience, *

OR
- Certificate in accounting or business administration or equivalent discipline and five (5) years of recent, related experience.*
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered, i.e., six (6) years of recent, related experience. *
- Recent, related experience must include experience in the following within the last 7 years:

- Providing professional oversight to large volume transaction processing, including financial controls and period end processing (see ‘specific accountabilities’, above).
- Experience analyzing large volumes of data in a complex environment with multiple integrated systems.
- Experience of working in finance area in distribution and supply chain management environment.
- Supervising one or more employees in financial administration roles.
- Enrolled into a professional accounting certification program (i.e., CPA).
- Experience in beverage alcohol industry/supply chain/ distribution or wholes
