Job Description / description de l'emploi

The iconic Omni King Edward Hotel is seeking a Group Sales Manager to join their team in Toronto

The goal of the Group Sales Manager is to market the Hotel’s services locally and nationally; to build guest relationships and business opportunities for the Hotel by interacting with current, future, and prospective guests; to develop a network of guest opportunities for future Hotel business and to interact with prospective groups and negotiate guest contracts for Hotels rooms, F&B services, meeting services, catering services, events, and convention services, in coordination with Catering, Sales, Conference Services, and Reservation Sales Departments; to maximize revenues for the Hotel; to maintain positive interdepartmental communications; and to effectively control and minimize all marketing expenses while exceeding overall budgeted revenues and occupancy.

Specifically, this role will work with Corporate accounts while focusing on prospecting, bringing in new business, and fostering client relationships. 

Location: On-property (not fully-remote) at the Omni King Edward Hotel in Toronto, Ontario - This position is eligible for the Omni Hotels & Resorts WFH Incentive after 90 days of employment

Qualifications / qualifications

Bachelors degree preferred.

Must have hotel sales experience.

Must have the ability to sell a fast-paced inquiry based market. Must be well organized, enthusiastic, solid selling and communiation skills, and an excellent team player.
