Brampton, Canada Robert Half Full time

We are seeking a Collections Specialist for a 6-month on-site contract in Mississauga, Ontario. The role involves managing credit and collections activities, with a strong emphasis on accounts receivable and account reconciliation. Ideal candidates will possess excellent problem-solving skills and strong skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) and B2B collections.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the department’s email communications, responding to both internal and external customer inquiries effectively
  • Prepare and dispatch disconnection letters for overdue accounts via registered mail
  • Engage with customers to confirm invoice receipt and payment process
  • Administer customer forms and other requested documents
  • Perform collections calls on overdue accounts as needed
  • Handle a large volume of incoming calls and ensure timely follow-up
  • Assist in setting up pre-authorized payment accounts for customers
  • Update payment information for customers with rejected pre-authorized payments
  • Execute other collections duties as necessary
  • Utilize skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), Answering Inbound Calls, Billing Functions, Claim Administration, Collection Processes, and B2B collections in daily operations.

  • Proficient in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) operations
  • Capability to efficiently answer inbound calls
  • Experience in managing various billing functions
  • Knowledge and understanding of claim administration
  • Familiarity with collection processes, including B2B collections
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in using computer software and databases for record keeping
  • Demonstrable problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments.
