THE OPPORTUNITY: 
The Regional Business Development Manager, Commercial & Industrial  will maximize sales volume and ensure the delivery of business objectives by targeting and closing new strategic business development opportunities within the region. This includes the development of new distributors and dealer groups within various channels.

What You Will Do:

Prospect, cultivate and close new business through various channels and customer segments in the region, through an active funnel and sales pipeline of prospective customers. Maximize sales and profit for assigned regional opportunities through prospecting and targeting new key account/significant buying groups through various channels. Present new business development plan for region and work with Regional Sales Manager to identify the key accounts/buying groups to target, pursue and develop. Work collaboratively with each Regional Business Development Manager on strategic / national sales opportunities. Effectively transition new business to appropriate field sales team and the customer experience team members, including contacts / account assignments, new account set up and future sales development opportunities. Partner with sales, marketing and leadership to influence channel strategies, develop and deliver compelling customer presentations, and/or unique offerings as appropriate to individual key account pursuit, ensuring alignment to Wakefield’s strategic objectives. Maintain ongoing partnership with National Sales Managers, Customer Experience and Supply Chain teams to ensure clear plan and forecast for ability to deliver against sales commitments during proposal development. Execute the organization’s sales process, including utilizing Wakefield’s Salesforce platform to record sales activity and manage leads and opportunities. Build strong relationships with our customers and communicate and follow-up in a timely manner, ensuring that any customer inquiries or problems are addressed and resolved. Conduct training sessions as required for target customers and share product updates with customers, along with new programs or initiatives. Participate or attend any promotions, trade shows or celebrations the client hosts. Represent Wakefield and the Castrol brand at Trade Shows and Industry events as required. Maintain an awareness of market trends and opportunities that are aligned with the overall business objectives and goals of Wakefield.

Ability to build and manage a pipeline of opportunities that are aligned with the overall organization strategy and assist the Territory Sales Manager’s executing actions to close these opportunities. Bilingual (French and English) required.

Education/Experience:

College diploma or University degree in Business with a specialization in Sales or Marketing, or a diploma or degree in a related field is an asset. Minimum 5 years of Sales experience, either in a field sales role or a combination of field sales and key account management. Experience selling consumer and commercial automotive lubricants (or related industry) through distributors or direct channels preferred. Experience in selling consumer packaged goods is an asset. Excellent Microsoft Suite experience required. Experience with CRM preferred. Ability to navigate a standardized sales call process is required.

L’objectif du Directeur régional du développement des affaires est de maximiser le volume des ventes des comptes clés/groupes d’acheteurs ainsi que de cibler de nouvelles opportunités d’affaires dans sa région. La personne détenant ce poste devra cultiver, développer et préserver les affaires nouvelles et existantes à travers différents canaux tout en assurant l’atteinte des objectifs d’affaires. Le Directeur régional du développement des affaires doit aussi se dédier à construire des relations d’affaires durables avec les clients internes et externes, pour soutenir une croissance des ventes durable et profitable.

Ce que vous ferez:

Développer et faire le suivi d’un plan d’affaires exhaustif pour les comptes clés de sa région, incluant les objectifs et plans pour les sièges sociaux des comptes régionaux et/ou nationaux stratégiques. Cultiver, développer et préserver les affaires nouvelles et existantes à travers différents canaux dans sa région. Maintenir à jour un pipeline de ventes des comptes potentiels et éventuels. Maximiser les ventes et profits pour les comptes clés et groupes d’acheteurs régionaux assignés, et effectuer la prospection pour de nouveaux comptes clés/groupes d’acheteurs à travers divers canaux. Travailler en collaboration avec le Directeur régional des ventes pour identifier les comptes clés/groupes d’acheteurs à cibler et suivre. Travailler en partenariat avec le marketing et la direction pour influencer les stratégies de canaux, développer et livrer aux clients des présentations convaincantes et/ou des offres spécifiques appropriées selon les comptes clés individuels ciblés, le tout aligné avec les objectifs stratégiques de Wakefield. Maintenir un partenariat continu avec le service de la Chaîne d’approvisionnement pour assurer une planification et prévisibilité claires des capacités à livrer selon les engagements de ventes lors du développement de propositions de ventes. Assurer le suivi d’un cadre uniforme de contrats légaux en soutien à l’offre générale de produits, et consulter les preneurs de décisions appropriés de Wakefield pour adapter les ententes selon les circonstances particulières lorsque requis. Offrir un soutien aux Directeurs des ventes de territoire pour les programmes et présentations importantes, pour assurer une approche coordonnée des ventes. Assumer la responsabilité de gestion de comptes pour les comptes clés/groupes d’acheteurs pour assurer un excellent partenariat pour desservir ces comptes, incluant la responsabilité de la performance des comptes clés et la résolution de problèmes, et travailler en collaboration avec les ressources de Wakefield pour assurer une expérience client de haut niveau. Suivre le processus de ventes de l’entreprise, incluant l’utilisation de la plateforme d’équipe de ventes de Wakefield pour rapporter les activités de vente, gérer les opportunités et communiquer les priorités et tâches liées aux comptes clés à toute l’équipe de ventes sur le terrain. Bâtir une solide relation avec nos clients, communiquer et faire le suivi en temps opportun, et assurer une résolution rapide des requêtes ou problèmes des clients. Présenter des séances de formation lorsque requis et partager les mises à jour de produits avec les clients, ainsi que les nouveaux programmes ou nouvelles initiatives. Participer ou assister à toute promotion, exposition commerciale ou célébration tenue par les clients (exemple : grande ouverture, journée d’appréciation des clients). Représenter Wakefield et la marque Castrol lors d’expositions commerciales et d’évènements de l’industrie tel que requis. Maintenir des connaissances des tendances et opportunités du marché alignées avec les objectifs d’affaires globaux de Wakefield. Assister à toutes les séances de formation sur les produits. Habileté à construire et gérer un pipeline d’opportunités alignées avec la stratégie globale de l’entreprise et à appuyer les Directeurs des ventes de territoire dans l’exécution des tâches et la conclusion de ces opportunités. Bilinguisme (français et anglais) constitue un atout.

Formation/Expérience:

Diplôme collégial ou universitaire en commerce/administration des affaires avec spécialisation en ventes ou marketing, ou diplôme dans un domaine connexe, constitue un atout. Minimum de cinq ans d’expérience en vente, soit en vente sur le terrain ou une combinaison de vente sur le terrain et gestion de comptes principaux. Expérience souhaitable dans la vente de lubrifiants automobiles aux consommateurs et clients commerciaux (ou industrie connexe) par le biais de distributeurs ou par canaux directs. Expérience dans la vente de produits de consommation emballés constitue un atout. Excellente expérience dans la Suite Microsoft requise. Expérience avec systèmes CRM hautement souhaitable. Capacité à utiliser un processus standardisé d’appel de vente requise.
