Compensation

Effective September 1, - $7,.48 per half course ( hours nominally)
Effective September 1, - $14,.95 per full course ( hours nominally)
Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Duties

The course instructors will be responsible for organizing this course and presenting the lectures.  Other duties include setting the assignments, mid-term tests, final examination, and invigilating both the mid-term and the final examination and creating a course syllabus to be approved by the Chair of the Department.  Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).

Qualifications

A Doctoral degree in Biological Sciences, or a related field, is required.  In the absence of a Doctoral degree, applicants holding a Master's degree in Biological Sciences, or a related field with previous teaching experience in the appropriate area at the University level, will be considered.
