Senior Project Manager – Contaminated Site Assessment & Remediation
We are looking for professionals interested in managing contaminated site projects in Atlantic Canada.
Main responsibilities
Perform Phase I to IV Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs); Experience in completion of risk assessments, considered an asset; Coordinate field activities that include sampling of groundwater, soil, soil vapour, sediment, surface water; Perform oversight of excavation and drilling activities, on occasion; Implement and enforce health and safety plans on construction sites; Supervision of the activities of site personnel as well as those of subcontractors; Interact with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies; Project task coordination and ability to manage projects, procure subcontractor, implement/oversee field work, participate in risk assessment and remedial design efforts; Technical report writing and proposal development for submission to provincial and federal regulatory authorities; Support Project Managers/Business Groups on various environmental and industrial projects; Lead internal project teams for multi-media assessments of complex sites; Possess strong project management, coordination and planning skills to meet client timelines and budget; Support the growth of the environmental practice in Eastern Canada.Training and skills
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Science or Engineering. . or . designation considered an asset. Minimum of 10 to 15 years of environmental consulting experience in the North American marketplace. Knowledge of Provincial guidelines and Regulations (Atlantic RBCA). A comprehensive understanding and experience with Federal framework and/or FCSAP process would be a great asset. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. Excellent technical writing skills. Bilingual capabilities considered an asset. Possession of a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle. Attention to detail. Ability to analyze and synthesize. Available to manage, coordinate and/or work on sites throughout Atlantic Canada.
