About the Role

CareerBeacon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Data Management: Perform account reconciliations, HST calculations, and filing of returns as well as making payments.
  2. Automotive Finance Experience: Assist with the process of new and used vehicles, conduct financial audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulations.
  3. Financial Analysis: Monthly HAPSET calculation and payments, bank reconciliations, and monthly flooring interest calculation and payments.
  4. Account Management: Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
  5. Financial Reporting: Monthly reconciliations and review of schedules, assist in preparing year-end audit working papers.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  2. Experience: Minimum 5 years' work experience in a senior accounting role.
  3. Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures, strong computer skills including Excel.
  4. Personal Qualities: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, excellent communication skills, oral and written, ability to work in a constantly changing environment.
