CareerBeacon is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for performing account reconciliations, HST calculations, and managing accounts receivable and payable processes.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data, and provide regular financial reports to management.
- Financial Transactions: Process HST calculations and filing of returns, as well as making payments, and manage accounts receivable and payable processes.
- Financial Audits: Conduct financial audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Financial Planning: Assist with the process of new and used vehicles, and provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
- Financial Management: Manage bank reconciliations, monthly HAPSET calculation and payments, and flooring interest calculation and payments.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' work experience in a senior accounting role.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures, and strong computer skills including Excel.
- Personal Qualities: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, excellent communication skills, oral and written, and ability to work in a constantly changing environment.
