Robert Half has a great opportunity available for an bi-lingual Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with an organization that offers an appealing company culture among highly skilled professionals. While working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager, the candidate in this role will be expected to manage the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The essential functions of this role will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Winnipeg, Manitoba area and will be a short-term contract / contract position.
What you get to do every day
- Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
- Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
- Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
- Help with internal and external audits as required
- Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
- Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned
- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
- Complete full-cycle A/P
bi-lingual - Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Adeptness in Invoice Processing
- Experience with data entry
- Earlier work involving Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics
- Good understanding of Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Comprehensive knowledge of account reconciliation
- Background working with Microsoft Great Plains Accounting
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
- Deep understanding of Check Runs
- Coding Invoices experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
- 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
