Reporting to the VP of Finance and Administration and working closely with the Senior Accountant, the AP & AR Clerk is an integral part of the Accounting team and is responsible for managing key AP & AR accounting processes, compliance with financial policies and adherence to key financial controls.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices, credits, incoming and outgoing payments, including reconciliation and follow-up on outstanding accounts.
- Liaise with vendors & customers to ensure receipt and payment of invoices are done in a timely manner.
- Contact customers regarding any outstanding invoices and credit balances in the account and makes appropriate arrangements; answers any inquiries and billing issues.
- Complete EFT & cheque preparation as well as bank deposits as required.
- Filing/electronic filing, scanning, & tracking of documents.
- Other accounting tasks as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE**
- 1+ years in accounting and finance.
- A certificate or diploma in accounting is considered an asset or equivalent experience.
- Strong Excel skills along with proven competency with MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word).
- Excellent communication, collaborative and teamwork skills.
- Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
