Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the EZ Pharmacy Director, the Zone Operations Coordinator (ZOC) collaborates with Pharmacy teams, Prescribers and Nursing Teams in the Edmonton Zone to implement and streamline Pharmacy Connect Care configuration in the zone. The ZOC must work independently to monitor and evaluate pharmacy and medication related system effectiveness. The ZOC will be the initial point of issue or workflow intake, consult with working partners, develop clear business requirements and collaborate on solution recommendations to applicable decision-making bodies. The ZOC will collaborate with pharmacy site operations, Pharmacy Informatics, Willow Application Teams, and Clinical Programs. Key areas of work include data management, ongoing report analysis, creating operational efficiencies, and aligning provincial standardization with processes that results in enhanced patient care. Operational support requires the ZOC to travel throughout the zone and engage with pharmacy system end users to understand their needs while identifying potential issues based on relationships with other end users , physicians and nursing. They will propose zone level processes to increase efficiency and assist in implementation of changes. The ZOC will contribute to Willow User Group on behalf of Edmonton Zone, Chair the Pharmacy User Group and actively participate in Zone Informatics Steering Committees to support medication management and standardization in Connect Care. To monitor and evaluate system effectiveness, they will create and maintain statistics and reports to understand business processes, analyzing data for efficiencies. Travel within the Edmonton Zone is required.

Description:

As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).

Demonstration of informal leadership experience, formal leadership experience is an asset.
