Adecco is currently recruiting for a Communication Specialist. This is a 6- month Remote contract opportunity with a possibility of extension. This role is with one of our client based in Ottawa.
The Communication Specialist will have the following responsibilities:
  • Edit reports and articles in French and English (Client works with consulting editors and translators, but you will need to have the ability to validate their work, as well as take on some short turnaround editing projects);
  • Layout reports and articles in WordPress;
  • Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns that integrate social media, newsletters, direct outreach, web content, media, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Reflect and report on campaign analytics and performance;
  • Apply content design standards and best practices to web content;
  • Design graphics and images for reports, articles, and social posts in Canva;
  • Support the development and management of consultant and vendor relationships;
  • Plan and execute virtual events and webinars;
  • Maintain project management documentation and timelines;
  • Foster supportive and collaborative relationships with colleagues and team members;
  • Other related activities and deliverables, as required.
The Communication Specialist must meet the following mandatory requirements:
  • Must have superior written and verbal communication skills;
  • Familiarity with content design standards and best practices;
  • Experience with content management across social media, newsletter and website platforms (especially WordPress and Mailchimp).
  • Knowledge of social media standards and best practices].
  • Experience editing and laying out reports, including with complex charts and graphs.
  • Experience developing and executing integrated communications and/or marketing campaigns.
  • A fine and well-honed attention to detail.
  • Bilingualism would be an asset;
