About The Opportunity

Working as an integral part of the Ta7lnew̓ás Education, Employment and Training Department, Reporting to the Principal, Xwemelch'stn Etsimxwawtxw Capilano Little Ones, and under the direction of the Primary Teachers, the ECE/Language Assistant is responsible for providing specialized teaching strategies, curriculum and physical or behavioral supports to support the inclusion of student/s. This position has a proficient command of the Squamish Language to support classroom curriculum content development, and language work required to support program goals. In addition, the position entails direct work with the school team to achieve goals building capacity in language to support the school growth plan. This position encourages children’s intellectual, physical, and emotional growth. Maintains professional growth plan, and professional standards as per requirements of the BC Ministry of Education standards.

Salary : $ 24.30 - $ 26.94 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program.
