Psychology Department Service Learning Coordinator. Responsibilities Negotiate, arrange, and supervise service learning placements for students registered in the BA in Applied Psychology program Create and maintain ongoing networks with community organizations, agencies, and service providers Consult with other College Service Learning and Practicum Coordinators Prepare and deliver the Service Learning course (PSYC 3390), per the Curriculum Guidelines; evaluate and grade students Enable assessment of student service learning performance by community providers Conduct site visits and evaluations of service learning placements Maintain ongoing consultation with students and placement agencies Advise and prepare for students planning to register for PSYC 3390 Ensure ethical standards are fulfilled in service learning placements for students, placement providers, and the College Maintain ongoing records of student and agency participation, for use in BA program and department reviews Create and maintain an ongoing database of PSYC 3390 student learning placements and supervisors Liaise with the Chair of Psychology, Coordinator of the BA in Applied Psychology, Program Advisor, and the Associate Dean on service learning delivery To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need A PhD or PsyD in Psychology is required.
